George Maris

George Maris is an experienced Senior Program Manager at McLaughlin Research Corporation, overseeing engineering and technical service initiatives for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, Rhode Island, since September 2019. Prior to this role, George served as a Technical Project Manager at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, focusing on the research and development of advanced electronic systems. From 2010 to 2017, George led a division of 100 scientists and engineers, where responsibilities included strategic planning and employee development. Earlier roles include Branch Head for Passive System Engineering and Engineer at the Naval Underwater Systems Center. George holds an MA in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, an MBA from the University of Rhode Island, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University.
