Stephen Yip

Stephen Yip currently serves as Trial Counsel for the Texas Army National Guard's 71st Expeditionary Military Intelligence Brigade and holds the rank of Captain (O-3). Yip's military experience includes multiple roles as Command Judge Advocate during various activations of Operation Lone Star, as well as responsibilities in national security law within the 36th Infantry Division. In the legal field, Yip is an Assistant District Attorney at the McLennan County Criminal District Attorney's Office, specializing as a felony prosecutor. Additionally, Yip has experience as an attorney in criminal defense and family law, having worked at various law firms and the Veterans Treatment Court. Yip has also contributed to education as a high school teacher and interim Dean of Students, alongside coaching soccer. Yip earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) with a concentration in Criminal Law Practice from Baylor University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Philosophy from the University of Miami.
