Romal D. Bullock

Romal D. Bullock’s primary practice areas include redevelopment, municipal law, and local property tax appeals. Prior to joining MS&B, he served as Tax Assessor for the Cities of East Orange and Newark. Prior to his role as East Orange’s Assessor, he served as a City Councilman in East Orange. As the City Council’s Redevelopment Committee Chairman, and later the Council President, Romal assumed a lead role in that City’s noteworthy efforts at transformative redevelopment.

Prior to his roles within local government, Romal spent several years in private practice, primarily representing municipalities in property tax appeal defense as well as commercial litigation. He is also a former member of his local Zoning Board and Planning Board. Romal received his B.A. degree in Communications from Temple University and his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law – Newark in 2003, where he served as Student Bar Association Vice-President, as well as Senior Articles Editor for the Rutgers Law Record.
