Ethan Tran

Ethan Tran is an accomplished individual in the field of biomedical engineering and health sciences, currently serving as a Teaching Assistant for Engineering Lab 1P13 at McMaster University since January 2022. With extensive experience in software development and engineering, Ethan has completed internships at Healthcare Systems R&A Inc., where innovative machine learning models were developed for predicting heart disease risk and enhancing mobile applications. Additionally, Ethan has contributed to research projects at the National Research Council Canada, focusing on medical imaging simulations. Leadership abilities are evident through the role as Team Leader for the McMaster Synthetic Biology Dry Lab, where biological circuit modeling was performed for the iGEM Competition. Ethan's educational background includes an integrated degree in Biomedical Engineering and Health Sciences from McMaster University, complemented by earlier experiences in laboratory organization and student mentorship at the University of Toronto Schools and The Firefly Foundation.
