Luis G. Hidalgo

Luis G. Hidalgo has extensive experience in the field of histocompatibility and immunogenetics. Currently, they serve as the President of the American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI) since October 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as an Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison starting in 2019. At the University of Alberta Hospital, they held the position of Associate Director of the Histocompatibility Laboratory from September 2010. This laboratory supports various transplant programs by providing physicians with immunological risk estimates. Luis also served as an Assistant Professor at the same institution from May 2012 to January 2019. Additionally, they were a Research Associate at the University of Alberta from September 2005 to August 2009. Lastly, they were a member of the ASHI Programme organizing committee from 2018 to 2019.

Luis G. Hidalgo holds a Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Alberta.
