Qing Liu

Qing Liu is a doctoral student at McMaster University specializing in machine learning, generative models, and distribution shift research since September 2020. In addition to academic pursuits, Qing serves as a teaching assistant for courses in machine learning and programming principles. As the founder of Opreal since August 2017, Qing has designed solutions for business applications. Qing’s prior experience includes roles as a Senior Cloud Engineer at EQ Bank, Senior Consultant at Capco, and Senior Backend Engineer at Avaya, focusing on cloud technologies and software development. Previous positions also include a contract Data Scientist at RBC, Technical Lead delivering strategic projects, and a Machine Learning R&D engineer at Zoom.ai, where advanced machine learning algorithms were implemented. With a strong educational background, Qing is pursuing a PhD in Machine Learning at McMaster University, alongside a Master's degree in International Economics from Renmin University of China.
