Maria Riggs has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Maria started their career in 2007 as the Founder and Manager of Cleaning Maid Perfect, where they handled all aspects of the business, including hiring and leading a team, customer service, pricing strategy, and marketing promotions. In 2008, they worked as a Marketing Analyst Intern at Clarkston Consulting, contributing to case studies, researching and reporting marketing information, and assisting in website development. Maria then served as a Student Consultant for the KENAN-FLAGLER S.T.A.R. Program in 2009, working with a team to recommend a business strategy for a large energy client. Maria joined PG Global Communications in 2009 as a Financial and Project Manager, responsible for payroll administration, accounts receivable monitoring, and client contract management. In 2010, they joined Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. as a Sales and Marketing Specialist, managing a top territory and training new employees. In 2011, they became the Director of Sales at PG Global Communications, leading a sales team and providing leadership and management to achieve organizational objectives. Maria then moved to Morris Hardwick Schneider in 2012, initially serving as a Client Relations Coordinator and later as the National REO Marketing Manager. Finally, they joined McMichael and Gray, PC in 2014 as the Director of Client Relations & Marketing.

Maria Riggs attended Green Hope High School from 2002 to 2006. After graduating from high school, they enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a focus on Consulting from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
