McSweeney's
Liz Crain is a seasoned cookbook author and freelance food and copywriter with extensive experience in the culinary literary field. Since January 2002, Liz has served as a cookbook author and publicity director at Hawthorne Books, while also contributing as a freelance food writer to various local and national publications since 2003. Notable works include the fall 2013 Toro Bravo Cookbook and the fall 2014 second edition of the Food Lover's Guide to Portland. Prior to their current roles, Liz gained writing experience with the Portland Tribune from 2003 to 2008. Liz holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Vassar College, where studies were completed between 1996 and 2000.

McSweeney’s is a publishing company based in San Francisco. As well as operating a daily humor website, we publish a short-story quarterly, a bimonthly magazine, and an ever-growing selection of books under various imprints. We are a fiscally sponsored project of SOMArts, a San Francisco nonprofit arts incubator.
