Halimah Badioze Zaman

YBhg. Professor Dato’ Dr Halimah Badioze Zaman F.A.Sc was appointed onto the Board of Directors of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) effective 5 April 2019. Dato’ Dr Halimah has served in various capacities and roles at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) for 39 years, which includes being one of the founding members of the Faculty of Information Science and Technology as well as a founder of the ICT niche at UKM. Currently, she is a Founding Director of the first centre of excellence in Computer Science at UKM, called Institute of Visual Informatics.

Over the years, Dato’ Dr Halimah has played a key role in multiple collaborations with industry leaders. It is through these collaborations that she’s able to receive multiple accolades for inventions and innovations at both national and international levels.
