Amber Reck Atwater is a distinguished dermatologist and educator with extensive experience in both clinical practice and academic positions. Currently serving as a Founding Member and Owner of Distinctive Dermatology and a Clinical Associate Professor at George Washington University Department of Dermatology, Amber also leads the Contact Allergen Management Program as Director for the American Contact Dermatitis Society and has held multiple key positions including Immediate Past President and member of the Board of Directors. With a longstanding affiliation at Duke University Health System, Amber has contributed significantly as an Associate Professor of Dermatology, Residency Program Director, and in various roles in Pediatrics and Allergy & Immunology. Additional editorial responsibilities include serving as Associate Editor for both Cutis and the Dermatitis Journal. Educational accomplishments include a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
