Cory Johnson

Postoctoral Researcher at MDI Biological Laboratory

Cory Johnson is a dedicated researcher with a strong background in biological sciences, specializing in yeast biology and GPCR signaling. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at MDI Biological Laboratory since October 2022, Cory previously worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Kelley Lab - U Maine from June 2020 to October 2022 and at Townsend Lab of Neurobiology and Energy Balance from January 2017 to June 2020. Cory's work has focused on the nervous system's role in energy balance and the communication between adipose tissues and the brain, contributing to the understanding of metabolic disease. Cory holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Maine, obtained in August 2022, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the same institution, completed in 2018.
