José Manuel Dias da Fonseca has a comprehensive work experience in various roles and industries. José Manuel started their career in 1997 as a Director at aicep Portugal Global. Later on, they joined MDS Group in 2000 and became the Group Chief Executive, overseeing various companies within the group involved in insurance, reinsurance, and risk-related services. In 2002, they founded APOGERIS and served as the Founder and President of the General Assembly. Jose also co-founded Brokerslink in 2004 and held the position of Founder and Chairman of the Board. José Manuel further expanded their leadership roles by becoming the President of Casa da Arquitectura in 2017 and the President of Fundação da Casa da Música from 2006 to 2014. Additionally, they served as a Board Member of Ed. from 2007 to 2018 and Leixões Sport Clube's President from 2004 to 2012. Jose's contributions extended internationally as they became a Member of the Board of Directors for Ferma from 2004 to 2007 and the Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers from 2014 to 2017.

José Manuel Dias da Fonseca has a diverse education history. In 1981, they attended Universidade do Porto, where they studied Economics. José Manuel later pursued post-graduate studies in Management Publique at Institut International de l’Administration Publique (presently ENA) until 1983. Additionally, José completed a Professional Services program in management at London Business School in 2016. José Manuel also holds a degree in Economics, specifically a Licenciatura em Economia, from FEP U.
