Dan Field, MD, FACEP has had a diverse and extensive work experience. Dan currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer at MDstaffers, where they oversee all clinical staff operations and quality assurance. Dan also provides clinical leadership to MDstaffers' provider network and assists in developing innovative staffing models. Additionally, Dr. Field serves as the Chair of the Expert Panel at MDexperts, a service of MDstaffers. In this role, they offer their expertise in various civil and criminal cases. Prior to these positions, Dr. Field worked as an Emergency Medicine Physician at The Permanente Medical Group, Inc. from 1987 to 2016. Dan also served as the Lead Physician for Speech Recognition at Kaiser Permanente from 2008 to 2016.
Dan Field, MD, FACEP completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, General from UC Irvine between 1974 and 1979. Following this, they attended the University of California, San Francisco from 1979 to 1983, where they earned their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Medicine. Dr. Field then underwent a Rotating Internship at Highland Hospital (Trauma Center) in 1983-1984 as part of their medical training.
To specialize in Emergency Medicine, they pursued an Emergency Medicine Residency program at the University of Cincinnati from 1984 to 1986. Dr. Field became board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine in 1987, ensuring their expertise in this field. Their commitment to professional development can be seen in their additional certifications, including Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association, as well as Advanced Trauma Life Support from the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Field is also recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, highlighting their contributions and leadership in the field. More recently, in 2022, they became a Member of the Faculty of Forensic & Legal Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians. Displaying a continued passion for learning, Dr. Field is currently pursuing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Forensic Science at Grand Canyon University, with an expected completion in 2023.
