The capital of Gangnam-gu is located in South-east part of Seoul. The East faces Songpa-gu with boundary of Tancheon , the West faces Seocho-gu following Gangnamdaero which connects to Hannamdaero, the North faces Seocho-gu and Sungnam city along the line of Guryong mountain and Daemo mountain, and the North faces Sungdong-gu and Yongsan-gu with boundary of Han river.
