Nitzan Shamir

Nitzan Shamir is an experienced laboratory professional currently serving as an Assay Development Lab Technician at MeMed since March 2021. Prior to this role, Nitzan worked as an RNA Extraction Shift Manager and Lab Associate at MyHeritage from May 2020 to January 2021, and as a Marine Biologist at Marine Ventures International, Inc. from July 2019 to February 2020. Earlier experience includes a position as a Research Assistant at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, where Nitzan investigated marine virus population dynamics under the guidance of Prof. Debbie Lindell in 2018. Nitzan also has a background in education, having worked as a private tutor for undergraduate courses in various biological and physical sciences from 2013 to 2016. Nitzan holds a Master of Science in Marine Microbiology from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography from Ruppin Academic Center.
