Rick Decola

Rick DeCola is an experienced transportation engineering professional currently serving as the Transportation Department Manager at Mead & Hunt since November 2014. In this role, Rick oversees daily operations in North Carolina, focusing on market identification, business development, client relationships, and staff advancement. Prior to this position, Rick held the role of Roadway Design Manager at Mead & Hunt, where a startup design group was developed into a team of ten. Rick’s earlier experience includes serving as a Roadway Design Engineer at RS&H, where responsibilities included leading design efforts and preparing construction plans. Rick began a career at the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), holding various roles from Engineering Assistant to Project Design Engineer, building a robust foundation in transportation engineering. Rick holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University, earned between 1999 and 2003.
