Andrew D. Carlo, MD MPH has a diverse work experience in the field of mental health and healthcare integration. Andrew D. is currently serving as the Vice President of Health System Integration at Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute since October 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Health System Clinician at Northwestern Medicine from June 2020.
From 2017 to 2020, Dr. Carlo held the position of Acting Instructor/Senior Research Fellow at the University of Washington. During their time there, they completed two post-doctoral fellowships in Primary Care Psychiatry Research and Geriatric Mental Health Services Research. Andrew D. gained expertise in research methods, behavioral health integration, health services, health policy, and digital health. Dr. Carlo has also published extensively in renowned peer-reviewed journals.
Before joining the University of Washington, Dr. Carlo served as a Resident Physician at Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospital from 2013 to 2017.
Andrew D. Carlo, MD MPH began their education journey by completing their Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry/Pre-Medical/Music at Fordham University from 2005 to 2009. Following that, they pursued a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) at Georgetown University, completing the program from 2009 to 2013. Dr. Carlo further expanded their knowledge in the field of healthcare by obtaining a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Health and Medical Administrative Services from the University of Washington School of Public Health, which they successfully accomplished from 2017 to 2019.
In addition to their academic achievements, Dr. Carlo also holds certification in Psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. Andrew D. obtained this board certification in September 2017.
