Katie Steele

Katie Steele, PhD, currently serves as the Director of Research and Learning at the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute, leading initiatives for a collaboration with the National Council and SAMHSA to enhance behavioral health workforce training in Texas. Previous experience includes project management for the Center for Health System Transformation, where three behavioral health training curriculums were developed. At The University of Texas at Austin, Katie is pursuing a PhD in psychology while engaging in interdisciplinary research and teaching. Additional roles include adjunct instructor at Southwestern University and lab coordination at Wesleyan University, where research projects focused on cognitive development and decision-making behavior. Educational qualifications encompass a PhD and MA in Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Skidmore College.
