Lori Cook has extensive experience in various roles related to health policy and planning. Lori is currently serving as the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships for Innovation at Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute. Prior to that, they worked at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin, where they served as the Chief of Staff and later as the Associate Director of Partnerships and Strategy. In these roles, they supported the strategic growth of Dell Medical School, facilitated high-level projects, and developed patient-centered models of care. Before joining Dell Medical School, Lori worked at the San Francisco Department of Public Health and was responsible for managing policy and planning efforts. Lori also worked at Health Research for Action: UC-Berkeley School of Public Health, the Kaiser Family Foundation, and the Office of Management and Budget in various research and analysis roles. Lori's early experience includes working with the Effects of Case Management on the Homeless (ECHO) Project and serving as the Interim Executive Director and Manager of Student Programs at the Foundation for International Understanding Through Students (FIUTS).
Lori Cook completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and International Studies from Davidson College between 1995 and 1999. Lori went on to pursue a Masters's degree in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley, between 2003 and 2005.
