Jackie Maguire

Chief Executive at Meath County Council

Jackie Maguire has over 30 years of work experience primarily in local government. Jackie currently serves as the Chief Executive of Meath County Council, where they lead a team of over 600 staff and manages a budget of €230m per annum. Prior to their current role, Jackie was the County Manager for Leitrim County Council. Jackie has held various positions within Meath County Council, including Director of Services HR & Corporate, Head of Finance, Finance Officer, Administrative Officer Finance, Town Clerk, Assistant Staff Officer, and Clerical Officer. Throughout their career, Jackie has focused on driving economic and social development in the counties they have worked in, with a particular emphasis on promoting the unique attributes and quality of life of each location.

Jackie Maguire completed their Leaving Certificate from St. Mary's Convent School, Trim, in the years 1975 to 1980. Following this, in 1989 to 1990, they pursued a Diploma in Financial Management from the Institute of Public Administration. Lastly, from 2005 to 2007, Jackie Maguire attended Maynooth University to attain a Masters in Project Finance and Venture Management.
