Sarah Kanakos

Sarah Kanakos is a seasoned communications professional currently serving as Communications Manager at the Mechanical Contractors Association of BC since December 2023. In this role, Sarah develops communication strategies to effectively engage with government stakeholders and manages the creation of diverse content across various platforms, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and industry issues. Prior to this, Sarah worked at Pooni Group from January 2015 to September 2023, where responsibilities included developing strategic communication plans for housing projects, facilitating stakeholder engagement, managing digital media, and handling media relations. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Simon Fraser University and a Graduate Degree in Opera Performance from the Vancouver Academy of Music.
