Vinod Thomas

Vinod Thomas is an experienced leader in the Democratic Party with a current role as a DNC Member-Elect for North Carolina, set to begin in August 2024. Since 2009, Vinod has held the position of Director of Test Prep at Davidson Learning Center while simultaneously serving as First Vice Chair of the Democratic Party of Mecklenburg County and Statewide Advisor for High School Democrats of America. Involvement with the North Carolina Democratic Party includes membership on the State Executive Council and the State Executive Committee since 2005. Vinod's past role as Deputy Coalitions Director for AAPI and Progressive Engagement with Fight For NC involved strategic efforts to support the election of Joe Biden and other Democratic candidates. Vinod's extensive experience includes multiple delegations to the Democratic National Convention and membership in the National Association of Parliamentarians. Educationally, Vinod holds a Master's degree in Comprehensive Science Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Bachelor of Arts from Davidson College.
