Donnie Shell Jr.

Donnie Shell Jr. serves as the Director of Community Engagement at Charlotte Rescue Mission, where initiatives led have resulted in a 30% increase in community referrals. In addition, Donnie holds the position of Executive Director at the Donnie Shell Scholarship Foundation and works as a Recreation Assistant for Mecklenburg County. Previous roles include Regional Volunteer Director and Senior Director of Sports at the YMCA of Greater Charlotte, focusing on volunteer management and the strategic development of youth sports programs. Donnie's career in recreation and community engagement is supported by a Bachelor of Science degree in Leisure and Recreational Activities from South Carolina State University.
