Matthew Morgan

Matthew Morgan is an experienced environmental educator currently serving at Mecklenburg County's Stevens Creek Nature Center since June 2019, where responsibilities include developing environmental programs and coordinating animal care. Additional teaching experience includes roles as a substitute teacher in Cabarrus County Schools and Hamilton County Department of Education. Prior experience includes working as an educator at the Tennessee Aquarium, where Matthew managed over 75 animals and conducted programs for diverse audiences, as well as serving in various capacities at Zoo Atlanta. Educated at North Carolina State University, Matthew is pursuing a Master's degree in Parks, Recreation, Sports, and Tourism Management, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Maryville College.
