Brian Blair

Brian Blair has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Brian began their career at DuPont in 1986, where they served as an Operations/Engineering Manager, responsible for solid peroxygens specialty chemicals operations. During their tenure, they achieved ISO9002 certification for the product line and led a task team that improved reliability and process uptime, resulting in increased production output. In 1997, they joined Buckman as a Plant Manager, leading a culture change in the manufacturing organization and overseeing safety, scheduling, personnel, budget control, and performance in a GMP and ISO 9002 environment. In 1999, they founded Wave Technical Services, a specialty engineering consulting firm focused on asset life cycle management and regulatory compliance. The company's success led to a partnership and eventual acquisition by The Young Group, followed by divestiture to Mistras Group in 2000. At Mistras Group, Brian served as General Manager, responsible for all aspects of the $8 million/year business operation, including recruitment and retention, profitable acquisitions, contracts and negotiation, and customer retention strategies. In 2012, they joined Linde as Head of Business Development in the Electronics Gases and Specialty Products division, where they collaborated with key stakeholders to secure large-scale projects in the semiconductor industry. Brian also held roles as Head of Central Reliability and Regional Supply Manager at Linde. Most recently, since 2018, Brian has been working at MECS as VP Global Technology Licensing, leading the licensing and business development efforts for new plant and expansion projects in the MECS Sulfuric Acid technologies segment. Brian successfully closed over $100 million in signings at various global locations.

Brian Blair obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University, where they attended from 1985 to 1990. Following this, they pursued further education at The University of Memphis, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree specializing in Management and Finance. Brian attended The University of Memphis from 1995 to 1997.
