Edward Cortes

Edward Cortes has worked in the software development industry for over a decade. Edward began their career in 2009 as a Tecnologo en Sistemas at Clínica San Francisco, where they were responsible for source code and database structure design. Edward then moved on to Ceiba Software in 2012, where they worked as an Ingeniero Desarrollador, developing, implementing, and deploying applications using Java, Oracle, Javascript, and other technologies. In 2016, they joined Barista Ventures as a Software Development Engineer, where they participated in RESTful API design and implementation, as well as Frontend integrations. In 2018, they began working at TPaga as a Backend Developer, developing and deploying new backend features. Most recently, they have been employed at MedAnswers as a Software Development Consultant and Software Development Engineer since 2019.

Edward Cortes has a diverse educational background. From 2007 to 2009, they attended Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje, where they earned a degree in Tecnología en Análisis y Desarrollo de Sistemas de Información in the field of Ciencias de la computación. From 2008 to 2012, they attended Universidad del Valle (CO) and earned a degree in Tecnología en Electrónica in the field of Ingeniería eléctrica y electrónica. Finally, from 2014 to 2019, they attended Politécnico Colombiano 'Jaime Isaza Cadavid' and earned a degree in Ingeniería informática in the field of Ingeniería informática. Additionally, Edward Cortes has obtained certifications in MongoDB for Java Developers, MongoDB for Node.js Developers, and Functional Programming Principles in Scala from MongoDB, Inc. and Coursera, respectively.
