Cecile van de Konijnenburg

Cecile van de Konijnenburg serves as an International Health Advisor at Médecins du Monde Belgique since July 2022, following a role as an Advisor Expert in Public Health Emergencies at the Federal Public Service Health, Food Chain Safety and Environment from September 2020 to June 2022. Previous experience includes positions as a Medical Doctor at Janssen Inc. and CENTRUM VOOR LEERLINGENBEGELEIDING, as well as a Medical Doctor and Project Medical Referent with Médecins Sans Frontières from January 2015 to August 2018, with service in DRCongo, Greece, South Sudan, and Afghanistan. Early career roles involved medical practice in pediatrics at a government hospital in Uganda and various family medicine positions. Cecile van de Konijnenburg holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Liverpool, a Certificate in Global Health from the University of Copenhagen, a Master’s Degree in Family Medicine from KU Leuven, a Postgraduate Certificate in Tropical Medicine, and a Doctor of Medicine from KU Leuven.
