Eli Hamel

Eli Hamel has extensive experience in talent acquisition and recruiting. They currently hold the position of Director of Talent Acquisition at Medely since November 2022. Prior to this, Eli worked as the Head of Recruiting at both Studio and Discord, where they played instrumental roles in growing the companies' teams significantly. At Discord, they expanded the recruiting team from 5 to 26, while at Studio, they enhanced the company's recruiting efforts as the Head of Recruiting.

Before joining Discord and Studio, Eli served as the Director of Recruiting at Patreon, where they built the recruitment organization, processes, and strategies from scratch. They also contributed to the growth of the team, expanding it from 78 to over 250 employees in less than three years.

Prior to Patreon, Eli worked at Twitch as a Technical Recruiting Manager, focusing on growing the Distributed Systems Engineering, Information Security, and DevOps teams. They also improved the employee referral process and introduced behavioral interview training programs.

Eli's earlier experiences include working as a Recruiting and Operations Manager at Leeo, Inc, where they established the entire recruiting organization and contributed to the company's growth from eight to 50 employees. They also worked as a Technical Recruiter at Palantir Technologies, handling technical sourcing and recruitment across various engineering teams.

Before entering the tech industry, Eli held roles such as Sales and Service Coordinator at AvailAbility, Inc, and Store Manager/Sales Associate at Cell Tech Electronics.

Eli Hamel attended Carrollton High School from 1998 to 2002. Afterwards, from 2002 to 2006, Eli obtained a Bachelor's degree in Communication from Eastern Illinois University.
