Nigel Davis has over 30 years of experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Nigel began their career in 1986 as a Group Leader for Glaxo Group Research. In 1995, they were head-hunted to be Research Manager for Innovir, where they eventually became the UK Managing Director and had oversight of the German division as well. In 1999, they became a Project Manager for Isis Innovation Limited. In 2000, Davis was appointed Head of Transactions for PharmaVentures Ltd. where they won and led projects for a wide range of companies. In 2005, they became a Non-Executive Director for Ploughshare Innovations. From 2006 to 2012, they were a Director for both NALIA Systems Limited and Sivaden Limited. In 2012, they became a Senior Business Development Manager for Public Health England. Most recently, in 2015, Davis became the Founder and Chief Business Officer and Chief Executive Officer for Medherant Limited, a spin-out from the University of Warwick that develops patches for transdermal drug delivery.
Nigel Davis received their O/A Levels from Whitgift School between 1971 and 1979. Nigel then earned a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge between 1979 and 1982, followed by a PhD in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from the same university between 1982 and 1985. Nigel later completed an Executive MBA from London Business School between 1999 and 2001.
