Martin Kool

Experience Strategy Director at Media.Monks

Martin Kool has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Martin started their career at Agency.com Amsterdam as a Digital Design Trainee in 2001. In 2000, they founded Brothers in art and served as the Managing Partner, where they led a multidisciplinary team and worked closely with national and international clients. In 2012, they joined We Are Wow as the Principal UX/UI designer, where they directed the technical development of mobile apps and implemented development processes. Martin Kool then moved to Media.Monks and held various positions such as Lead User Experience Designer, User Experience Director, Head Of User Experience, Global Head of User Experience, and most recently, Experience Strategy Director. Martin took a sabbatical from April 2022 to August 2022.

Martin Kool obtained their Master's Degree in Digital Media Design from HKU (Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht) between 1999 and 2003. Prior to that, they studied Multimedia Design at Mediacollege Amsterdam from 1998 to 1999. Martin completed their high school education at s.g. Huizermaat from 1993 to 1998.
