Javier Pascual

Javier Pascual has an extensive background in software engineering and technical leadership. Javier has experience working in various industries, including healthcare and remote control software development.

In their most recent role at Media4Care, Javier held the position of Head Of Software, starting in January 2021. Prior to that, they were the Lead Software Engineer at the same company from March 2019 to January 2021.

Before joining Media4Care, Javier worked at Nielsen Telemedical GmbH as a Lead Software Engineer from March 2017 to December 2018. In this role, they designed and implemented a new front-end based on web technologies, provided technical leadership to the software team, and managed multiple projects simultaneously.

Javier's experience at Nielsen NeuroFocus as a Software Engineer from March 2013 to February 2017 involved designing and implementing features for an EEG recording software and analyzing EEG data using technologies/languages such as C++11, JS, React, OpenGL, Python, Matlab, and Git.

Prior to that, Javier worked as a Research Assistant at TU Berlin from April 2010 to February 2013, where they designed and implemented a Brain Computer Interface for object selection and researched methods to remove afferent activity caused by Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation using Machine Learning, Python, and Matlab.

At NTRGlobal S.L., Javier worked as a Software Engineer from July 2006 to March 2009, focusing on designing and developing new functionalities for a Remote Control Software using technologies/languages such as C++, Windows API, GDI, ASP, Installshield, TCP/IP, and SCRUM.

Before that, they served as a Technology and Security Risk Consultant at E & Y from September 2005 to February 2006.

Javier started their career as a Software Engineer at Tango/04 Computing Group from May 2002 to September 2005. Javier worked on developing and maintaining a network devices real-time monitoring framework using C++, STL, SOAP, ACE, XML, XSLT, Delphi, Java, and TCPI/IP.

Javier Pascual completed their Master of Science (M. Sc.) in Computer Science from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, attending from 1998 to 2003. Furthermore, they obtained several additional certifications including "Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems: Part 2" and "Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems: Part 1" from Coursera Verified Certificates in July 2015 and June 2015 respectively. Additionally, Javier received a "Front-End Web Developer Nanodegree" from Udacity in May 2015.
