Andrew Armitage has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Andrew began their career as a Software Engineer at Vocalis Ltd in 1998 before moving on to Varisys Ltd as a Software Engineer, where they worked on various software projects including BIOS, operating system ports, drivers, and applications. In 2011, Andrew joined Aspex Semiconductor as a Senior Software Engineer.
In 2012, Andrew joined Ericsson as a Principal Software Engineer and took on multiple roles throughout their tenure. Andrew served as a Scrum Master and Team Backlog Owner, responsible for managing the teams and ensuring the delivery of promised products. Andrew also held the role of Design Authority for Video Decoding, where they were responsible for maintaining future plans and ensuring the development work was done without impairing existing functionality.
Andrew's most recent position is at MediaKind, where they have been working since 2019. Andrew initially worked as a Principal Software Engineer before transitioning to the role of Technical Project Manager in December 2021.
Andrew Armitage attended The University of Manchester from 1994 to 1997, where they obtained a BSC(hons) degree in Computer Science.
