Bora Urkan

Bora Urkan has extensive work experience in the field of integration engineering and IPTV products. Bora started their career in 2003 at Koc.net, where they worked as a Messaging Specialist responsible for managing and providing support for various messaging systems and infrastructure. In 2010, they joined Alcatel-Lucent Turkey as an IPTV Integration Expert, where they integrated and supported Mediaroom IPTV products for Alcatel-Lucent customers worldwide. Their responsibilities included assisting consultants, participating in design and testing activities, and conducting troubleshooting at customer sites. In 2016, they joined Ericsson as a Senior Integration Engineer, where they continued to work on integrating and supporting Mediaroom IPTV products for Ericsson customers globally. Bora also worked on various projects, including building virtual platforms and assisting with software migration. In 2019, Bora Urkan joined MediaKind as a Senior Integration Engineer, where they continued to integrate and support MediaRoom IPTV products for customers worldwide. Their responsibilities included installation, configuration, acceptance of pre-architected solutions, and troubleshooting at customer sites. Bora also worked on projects such as building a geo-redundant platform and integrating geo-redundant sites with the Mediaroom platform.

Bora Urkan completed their primary and secondary education at Kültür Koleji from 1988 to 1994. Following that, they pursued a higher education in Electric and Electronic Engineering at Yildiz Technical University, graduating between 1994 and 1999. Apart from their formal education, Bora Urkan obtained a certification in Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in October 2021.
