Darren Anderson-Peled

Darren Anderson-Peled has extensive experience in software engineering and development. Darren currently holds the position of Principal Software Engineer at MediaKind, where they primarily focus on video encoding and decoding algorithm optimization. Additionally, they are responsible for the cloud deployment of video encoding solutions, which includes REST API design, Python backend coding, CI/CD, and cloud deployments.

Prior to their current role, Darren worked at Ericsson Television Limited as a Senior Software Engineer and later as a Principal Software Engineer. Before joining Ericsson, Darren worked at Broadcom as both a Senior Engineer and a Principal Engineer. In this role, they specialized in UMTS Layer 1 development for GSM/GPRS/UMTS/LTE protocol stack. Darren was responsible for system design and real-time embedded C software development for mobile phone products. Their projects at Broadcom involved re-architecting modem software, adding support for new 3GPP features, and implementing Dual SIM functionality.

Darren Anderson-Peled completed their education at The University of Sheffield. In 1988, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (1st class honours) degree in Electronic Engineering. Following this, they pursued further studies at the same institution and from 1991 to 1995, they obtained a Doctorate degree in Medical Physics/Electronics.
