Aileen Shinaman

Aileen Shinaman currently serves as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel at the Medical College of Wisconsin, a position held since July 2023. Prior to this role, Aileen spent over three decades at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where responsibilities included Vice President and General Counsel, as well as Senior Counsel, from May 1992 to June 2023. Aileen began the legal career at Nixon, Hargrave, Devans & Doyle (now Nixon Peabody) as an Attorney from September 1989 to May 1992, following a position as Law Clerk at the New York State Appellate Division, Fourth Department between September 1988 and July 1989. Aileen earned a Juris Doctor degree from Albany Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University at Albany.
