Justin L. Mortara, PhD, is the former CEO of Mortara Instrument, Inc. Mortara Instrument is a medical device firm headquartered in Milwaukee that designs and manufactures electrocardiography (ECG) devices and monitoring systems that aid in the diagnosis of cardiovascular disease. Dr. Mortara joined the company in 1998 and was named CEO in 2008. In 2017, the company was acquired by Hill-Rom, a leading global medical technology company with more than 10,000 employees worldwide.

Dr. Mortara was educated at the University of Chicago, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Physics. He earned his doctorate in Physics at the University of California-Berkeley. Dr. Mortara currently serves on the boards of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC), the Milwaukee Art Museum, the Milwaukee Ballet and the Greater Milwaukee Committee.
