James A. Will

Founder, Treasurer & Secretary at Medical Engineering Innovations (MEI)

Dr. Will is an Emeritus professor from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. His long career has been focused on comparative medicine mainly in the cardiopulmonary field with more than 125 refereed publications, several book chapters and he was the principal editor of “The Pulmonary Circulation in Health and Disease.

His University positions have included an Assistant Professorship in the Department of Medicine, Adjunct Professor of Anesthesiology, Emeritus Professor of Surgery, Medical School as well as Professor of Animal Health and Biomedical Sciences (AHABS) and Emeritus Professor of Pathobiology in the School of Veterinary Medicine and Emeritus Professor of Animal Sciences, College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. His administrative experience included Chair of Veterinary Sciences, Director for the Graduate School of the Research Animal Resources Center, Chair of the Biological Sciences Divisional Committee and various other responsibilities. He is now the science editor for the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, Thailand for all publications from the basic and clinical sciences.

He was a consultant to Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Beersa, Belgium, a division of J&J, and its chairman, Dr. Paul Janssen for more than 10 years. This was followed by a consultancy with The Upjohn Company and its chairman, Dr. Ted Cooper, Former Surgeon General for more than 5 years. In addition he has served on review panels for the Congressionally Mandated Military Medical Research Program.
