Elliot Fung

Elliot Fung has extensive experience in the public and private sectors. From 2003-2012, they served as a Municipal Councillor for the Corporation of the Township of Wilmot. From 2008-2012, they worked at BlackBerry in various roles, including Strategic Sr. Global Program Manager, Program Manager, Enterprise Training Program, and Program Designer. From 2013-2016, they were the Sr. Manager of Health System Integration at the Waterloo Wellington Local Health Integration Network. In 2015, they also held the roles of Director Public Affairs and Interim Director, Communications & Community Engagement. From 2016-2019, they were the Executive Lead, Innovation and Strategic Partnerships at the Waterloo Wellington Local Health Integration Network. From 2019-2021, they served as the Vice President, Innovation and Strategic Partnerships at Ontario Health. Since 2021, they have been the Executive Director of Medical Innovation Xchange, Canada's first industry-led hub dedicated to helping medical technology startups scale successfully in Canada. Elliot is also a Sessional Instructor at the University of Waterloo, and a Board Member at Intellectual Property Ontario.

Elliot Fung's education history includes studying Political Science and Government at Lakehead University from 1997 to 1999, and Political Science at Wilfrid Laurier University from 1999 to 2001.
