Eric Leopold

Chief Technology Officer at Medical Murray

As President, Eric oversees day-to-day operations in support of company direction and growth. He also provides strategic direction on Medical Murray's business initiatives and is instrumental in building a strong team dedicated to providing their customers with high-quality products and superior service. Bringing over 25 years of medical device experience with in-depth knowledge of endovascular and minimally invasive devices, Eric is a named inventor on 30 U.S. patents in multiple applications.

Before joining Medical Murray, Eric was Vice President of R&D at Altura Medical (acquired by Lombard Medical) where he led the research and development team in the design of a novel endovascular AAA stent graft system. Prior, he held key roles for several notable medical device start-ups and fortune 100 corporations including ProMed, NovoStent, Micrus, (acquired by J&J), W.L. Gore & Associates, Guidant, and Baxter Healthcare.

Eric holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master of Science in Materials Engineering from San Jose State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Iowa.
