Shira Hollander began their work experience as a Research Assistant at the O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law in 2006. Shira then worked as a Recruitment Associate at New Leaders for New Schools from 2007 to 2008. In 2009, they served as a Graduate Intern for Senator Barbara Mikulski's Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee Staff. Following that, they worked as a Graduate Intern at The Cohen Group in 2010. Shira then held the position of Law Clerk at the Maryland Office of the Attorney General in 2011. Shira transitioned to working as an Associate at Latham & Watkins from 2013 to 2017. Subsequently, they were employed as a Senior Associate Director of Policy Development at the American Hospital Association from 2017 to 2022. Currently, they hold the role of Director of Federal and State Strategy at Medically Home starting in 2022.
Shira Hollander completed a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007. Shira then pursued a Master's in Public Policy with a focus on Health Care Policy at Harvard Kennedy School from 2008 to 2010. Subsequently, they obtained their Juris Doctor (J.D.) with a specialization in Health Care Law from Georgetown University Law Center from 2010 to 2013.
