Paul Sharp has extensive experience in scientific research and development, particularly in the fields of nanotechnology, neuro-oncology, drug delivery, Alzheimer's disease, and neurodegenerative disease. Paul has held various roles, including Lead Scientist at Medicines Discovery Catapult since 2023, Senior Scientist at Medicines Discovery Catapult from 2020 to 2023, Preclinical Research Scientist at The University of Manchester from 2018 to 2020, Senior Research Associate and Project Manager at The University of Sheffield from 2009 to 2018, Postdoctoral Research Associate at Imperial College London from 2004 to 2009, and Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alberta from 2003 to 2004. Throughout their career, Paul has focused on developing innovative solutions for clinical needs, optimizing preclinical cancer models, exploring cerebrovascular dysfunction in Alzheimer's disease, and advancing the understanding of neurodegenerative diseases. Paul has expertise in managing research programs, analyzing and interpreting data, and effectively communicating scientific findings.
Paul Sharp holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Neuroscience from UCL. Paul also earned a Master's degree in Neurological Science and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from UCL and Goldsmiths, University of London, respectively.
