Hans Peleska

Hans Peleska has extensive work experience in the media industry. Hans is currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Wiener Zeitung Mediengruppe since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Wiener Zeitung Digitale Publikationen GmbH, where they held the positions of Digital Product Development Manager and Head of IT Operations from June 2018 to present and from February 2009 to May 2019, respectively. Before joining Wiener Zeitung Digitale Publikationen GmbH, Hans held the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Krone Multimedia GmbH & Co KG from July 2000 to January 2009.

Hans Peleska began their education in 1978 at Technologisches Gewerbemuseum, where they obtained their Matura degree in Nachrichtentechnik und Elektronik in 1983. Following that, they pursued further education at Universität für Weiterbildung Krems from 2014 to 2016, earning a Master of Science (MSc) in Management and IT, specializing in Information Security Management. In 2017, Hans attended the same university, where they focused on Datenschutz und Privacy. Apart from their formal education, they also obtained additional certifications, including ISO 27001 Lead Auditor from Donau-Universität Krems in May 2017 and ITIL Foundation from AXELOS Global Best Practice.
