Emarie Payne

Emarie Payne, Esq. is a seasoned attorney with extensive experience in various legal roles. Currently serving as Associate General Counsel at Medifast, Inc. since January 2014, Emarie manages vendor disputes and drafts various corporate agreements. Prior to this role, Emarie worked as an Executive Recruiter at Lucas Group, specializing in placements for C-level in-house lawyers and law firm positions. Emarie’s regulatory expertise was further honed as Associate Commissioner at the Maryland Insurance Administration, overseeing property and casualty insurance matters. Previous positions include Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at Old Mutual (now Fidelity & Guaranty Life), as well as leadership roles in compliance and legal affairs at AEGON Direct Marketing Services and AEGON USA, Inc. Emarie holds a JD from Vermont Law School and a Bachelor's Degree in American Studies from Mount Holyoke College.
