Kristen Seal, CFS, has over a decade of experience in the food science industry, currently serving as the Manager of Sensory & New Innovation Platforms at Medifast, Inc. since November 2012, where responsibilities include leading product development from concept to commercialization and managing laboratory experiments. Prior to this role, Kristen held positions as Senior Food Scientist and Food Scientist at the same company. Experience also includes serving as Quality Assurance Manager at The Original Philadelphia Cheesesteak Company, interacting with production functions and USDA inspectors to ensure product quality and safety. Additionally, Kristen has academic experience as a Teaching Assistant for Food Science at Penn State University and has held various roles in sensory evaluation and ice cream production at the university. Kristen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science from Penn State University in 2012.
