Mary Rappl Bellanti

Mary Rappl Bellanti has a wealth of experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Mary began their career as a Staff Pharmacist at Kenmore Mercy Hospital and later worked as a Staff Pharmacist at Erie County Medical Center. At Erie County Medical Center, they also took on the role of Pharmacy and Therapeutics Pharmacist, where they prepared and presented P&T meetings and participated in JCAHO reviews.

Moving forward, Mary joined Rite Aid Corp as the Clinical Coordinator for WNY, where they were responsible for implementing a restricted pharmacy network for BCBS WNY and leading the creation of the Good Health Solutions program in Rite Aid store locations. Mary then became a Clinical Pharmacy Manager at WellPoint Pharmacy Mgt, where they provided clinical support for BCBS WNY pharmacy staff and updated clinical guidelines for prior authorization functions.

Mary later worked as the Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services at HealthNow New York Inc., overseeing formulary management, Medicaid and Medicare pharmacy benefits, and clinical relationships with PBMs. Mary also created and expanded the Pharmacy Case Management program, which was presented at industry meetings.

Currently, Mary is Vice President of Clinical Services at MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc. In this role, they lead a team of Clinical Program Managers and provides clinical consultative services for MCO, Government, and Self-Insured business sectors. Their responsibilities include formulary management, Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee participation, utilization management, population health management, and clinical intervention programming.

Throughout their career, Mary has demonstrated their expertise in clinical pharmacy and has made significant contributions to improving patient care and optimizing drug spend.

Mary Rappl Bellanti attended Canisius University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Later, they enrolled in the University at Buffalo to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. The specific start and end years for both degrees are not provided.
