Sylvia Cronin

Sylvia Cronin currently serves as Chairperson at Mercer Global Investments Europe since January 2023 and holds the position of Independent Non-Executive Director (INED) and Chair of the Remuneration and Nomination Committee at Saol Assurance d.a.c. since October 2022. In addition, Sylvia is Chairperson at Mediolanum Irish Operations and serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director at both FBD Insurance and Canada Life Assurance Europe plc, where Sylvia also chairs the Risk Committee. Sylvia has a wealth of experience in leadership roles, including serving as Senior Independent Director at Canada Life Limited and previous positions as Director of Insurance Supervision at the Central Bank of Ireland and Chief Executive Officer at both Augura Life Ireland Limited and MGM International Assurance Co. Ltd. Educational credentials include C.Dir. in Corporate Governance from the Institute of Directors and an MBA in International Business from Technological University Dublin.
