Adam E. Rakestraw, J.D. has held a variety of roles in the legal and medical technology industries since 1999. From 1999 to 2001, they were a Corporate Law Clerk at Cooper Tire & Rubber Company. From 2001 to 2003, they were a Judicial Attorney at the Ohio Third Appellate District, where they were responsible for reviewing and drafting appellate decisions. In 2003, they became the Managing Partner and Cofounder of RAKESTRAW & RAKESTRAW, LLC. From 2005 to 2008, they held the role of Senior Consultant at Merck, and from 2008 to 2017, they were a District Manager at Merck. In 2008, they also began working at Medtronic, where they were responsible for Kyphon Balloon Kyphoplasty, OsteoCool Cooled RF Bone Tumor Ablation, InflateFX Extremity Fracture System, X-Stop Interspinous Spacer for spinal stenosis, and Resorbable Gel Bead Embolic. Adam E. was a sustained top performer and multiple-time award recipient. In 2017, they became the Cofounder, Chairman, and Chief Business Development Officer of MediView XR, Inc., a MedTech company utilizing Augmented Reality to give surgeons revolutionary 3D "X-ray vision" without additional radiation. In 2021, they became the Cofounder of FreeNav, Inc., a wireless electromagnetic (EM) tracking system for surgical navigation and healthcare applications.
Adam E. Rakestraw, J.D. received their Juris Doctorate with Distinction from Ohio Northern University in 2001. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Bowling Green State University in 1997. Adam E. attended Wittenberg University from 1993 to 1994 for Business Administration and Management, General. Adam E. also obtained a certification from the Ohio State Bar Association in July 2001 after passing the Ohio Bar Exam with a 93rd percentile score.
