Laura Cascella has a strong background in medical writing and editing. Laura started their career as an Editor at SAIC, where they provided editorial support for the documentation of the Department of Defense's Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs. Laura then joined the American Institutes for Research as a Senior Editor and Communications Specialist, where they developed and edited health content for government clients such as the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Laura'smost recent position was at MedPro Group, where they served as a Medical Writer/Editor and Publications Lead, developing risk management and patient safety content for various healthcare audiences.

Laura Cascella obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English/Professional Writing from Purdue University, which they attended from 1998 to 2000. Laura later pursued a Master's degree at Hood College from 2005 to 2010.
