Marcus Polini has worked in a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2011. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Cell Shop/Sales Associate at Future Shop, where they were recognized among the top 10% of sales associates for 80% of their employment. In 2012, they worked as an Engineer Summer Student at Newalta, where they developed an Excel macro to help with fluid pump selection based on a pipeline transportation network. In 2014, they worked as a Geomatics Intern at NovAtel Inc., where they designed and conducted an acceptance testing procedure that resulted in 50% fewer bugs reported in a major software release over the previous major release. In 2016, they returned to NovAtel Inc. as an Application Engineer, where they led the creation of online written and video support materials for onboarding users with NovAtel hardware and software that reduced their team's time spent supporting users by 10%. In 2017, they worked as a Sales Associate at Kaizen Automotive Group, where they increased vehicle sales by 100% month-over-month. That same year, they also co-founded cityConnect, championing and self-teaching front end development in Swift and launching an MVP on iOS in 7 months. In 2018, they worked as a Product Manager at CTO.ai, where they led the shipment of a cloud-native enterprise software suite with public APIs in 6 months and doubled the value of a multimillion-dollar contract by devising, pitching, and executing a go-to-market strategy. Since 2019, they have been working as a Product Director and Product Manager at MedStack.

Marcus Polini obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Geomatics Engineering from the University of Calgary between 2011 and 2016. In August 2019, they also obtained a certification in Product Management: Building a Product Roadmap from LinkedIn.
