Basem al Achras

Basem Al Achras, MD, serves as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University since February 2025 and is currently a Quality and Safety Fellow at MedStar Institute for Quality and Safety, beginning July 2024. Prior to these roles, Basem Al Achras has held positions at MedStar Health since June 2020, including Internal Medicine Attending Physician, Chief Resident, and Junior Faculty, along with experience as a Resident Physician. Basem Al Achras also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Cleveland Clinic from September 2019 to June 2020. Basem Al Achras earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Damascus University between 2010 and 2017.
